Mark Walkenhorst studied Bioscience at the Westfälische Wilhelms-University Münster and received his masters degree in 2015. He joined the INIMS as a PhD student in 2016 and completed his PhD on the role of mucosal-associated invariant T (MAIT) cells in the animal model of multiple sclerosis in 2020. He is now continuing his work on MAIT cells in the pathogenesis of central nervous system inflammation as a postdoctoral scientist.
