Daniela Silva studied Biochemistry at the University of Porto, and completed her master ‘s degree in Neurobiology at the University of Porto, Faculty of Medicine in 2022. During her degrees she enrolled in different projects, such as searching for miRNAs as potential biomarkers for MS and searching for potential beneficial effects of different repurposed drugs on preterm hypoxia ischemia injury. In July 2023 she joined the INIMS as a PhD student and aims to investigate the role of neuroinflammation on epigenetic changes upon neurogenesis and possible therapeutic approaches to improve MS outcomes.
