Vivien Häußler studied medicine at the Universities of Hamburg and Trondheim and started her residency in 2013 at the Department of Neurology at the University Medical Centre Hamburg-Eppendorf. She completed her MD thesis in the area of postischaemic inflammation and first focused on basic science in the context of ischaemic stroke. Her clinical interests lie in the field of neuroimmunology and in 2018 she joined the INIMS becoming a clinical research fellow as well as working in the MS day hospital and outpatient clinic. Her scientific aims address the natural history of MS and NMO with a special focus on prognostic criteria and treatment response and she is in charge of clinical MS cohorts and the German NMO register NEMOS at our center.
