Anne Willing studied biology and biomedical sciences at the University of Münster and the transnational University Limburg (Netherlands/ Belgium). From 2009 to 2013 she completed her PhD study characterizing IL-17 producing CD8+ T cells in multiple sclerosis at the INIMS. Her main research focus is T cell and particularly MAIT cell biology in the context of immunological pathomechanisms of multiple sclerosis. In 2021 she received DFG funding to decipher the role of MAIT cells in MS and its mouse model and became Senior Scientist. In addition to her own research activities, she is Scientific Coordinator at the INIMS since 2017 supporting co-operative research projects and teaching activities, as well as co-ordinating biobanking at the INIMS.
